LAS VEGAS, NV - The 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards took place last night, and in a happy turn of events nobody got shot.
“We’re not normally worried ’bout that,” said AACMA producer Jim Bob. “But yeah, I guess you can say we’re real pleased that nobody was shot.”
Security is a must for any award show, especially in the last few years when gun violence has been on the rise. In the past few years shootings have occurred at several award shows, including the Source Awards and Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards. It seemed only natural that the Country Music Awards would follow down the same path.
