Scoop: Dina Lohan is Changing her Name to Lindsay

LONG ISLAND, NY - Dina Lohan announced yesterday that she is legally changing her first name to Lindsay. The infamous stage mother, whose parenting skills are often criticized, said she thought long and hard before coming to this decision.

“Now that Lindsay is trying to be sober, I want to support that,” she said. “The best way I know how is to go to clubs for Lindsay, and date Lindsay’s boyfriends, and snort Lindsay’s coke for her. I know it’s unorthodox, but I am really doing this for the health of my child.”

Some sources don’t believe Dina’s actions are totally benevolent. “She claims this is how she can protect Lindsay, but I kind of think she’s tired of living vicariously through her daughter. Since they both look like weathered, washed-up forty-year-olds, Dina will flash her new ID and everyone will just think she’s Lindsay.”

“Not true,” Dina’s rep told SCNN today. “If she wanted to just be Lindsay, why is she planning to change her name to Ali in about five years?” Ali is Dina’s fourteen-year-old, who is trying to break into acting via the new reality show “Living Lohan.”
