Under New California Law, Aiken Will Marry

NEW YORK, NY - Clay Aiken has announced that she will wed her longtime girlfriend this fall under California’s new gay-marriage laws.

“To celebrate California’s new acceptance of marriage »”>gay marriage, my girlfriend Sheila and I decided to come out and tie the knot. We want people just like us to realize that there’s no shame in being a lesbian,” Aiken announced today.

Aiken’s announcement comes just days after lesbian power couple Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi announced their pending nuptials. “We’re very excited that Clay and Sheila have decided to join us in the celebration of love in all its forms,” DeGeneres told SCNN via email. “Personally I always thought Clay was a man, so I’m glad she cleared that up for me.”
