Vin Diesel to Run for President

LOS ANGELES, CA - Actor Vin Diesel has announced he will run for president on the independent ballot in the 2008 election.
“After much thought and introspection, I have decided I’m the best man for the job,” he said at a press conference this morning. “And I will kick anyone’s ass who suggests otherwise.”
Diesel, best known for his roles in XXX and The Fast and the Furious, admitted that he has no prior political experience other than “whupping my 8th grade Class President for getting rid of the Twinkies in the cafeteria vending machine.”
“However,” he continued, “I have what it takes to lead this country. For example, I will end the war in Iraq by parachuting into Baghdad, karate-chopping all the insurgents, and then blowing up the entire city with a bomb made of lead piping and horse manure. Our troops will be out of the Middle East by March 2009.”
