NASHVILLE, TN – Today’s press conference with Miley Cyrus took an odd turn when the topic of the Disney stars controversial photos from Vanity Fair came up.
Despite the original intention of the press conference – to discuss details of Hannah Montana: The Movie – Cyrus showed little interest in moving past the photos.
“You guys remember that time I posed completely nude in that magazine?” Cyrus said excitedly. “OMG, that was so hot! I’m only like 15, and I’m completely naked! LOL.”
While reporters continually attempted to steer the conversation toward her cinematic debut, the young pop star kept going back to the photos.
“The film’s going well, there are some pretty awesome scenes,” she said. “But nothing as awesome as that time I posed totally naked for a national magazine. Do you guys remember that? Wasn’t that taboo? LMAO.”
The photographer responsible for the photos, Annie Leibovitz, was contacted by SCNN but unavailable for comment. Her publicist said she was much too busy coming up with ways to piss people off.
Cyrus even went as far as to propose another nude photo shoot in the middle of press conference, but she was quickly shot down by many reporters who feared facing jail time.
“Don’t you people get it,” Cyrus asked. “I’m 15 and I have absolutely no clothes on in the pictures. How fantastically great is that? I’m not sure why people want to stop talking about this.”
