The Serious Celebrity News Network was birthed in late 2007 – the illegitimate child, if you will, of several young men and a website called the Serious Sports News Network. The SSNN had always hoped to reproduce, and the gentlemen in question were happy to provide the seed, so to speak. To put it frankly, it seemed silly to make so much fun of sports and sports figures – which sometimes takes effort and originality – and ignore the rest of the entertainment world, who so often parody themselves that lending a helping hand is of little imposition. Like its forefather, SCNN aims primarily to entertain – should we stumble upon some interesting social commentary or perhaps the occasional hidden message, all the better.
